Team Chico Hosts Community Safety Meeting at Round Table Pizza Clubhouse
October 31, 2017 (CHICO, CA) Next Thursday November 9, 2017, businesses, property owners and community members in the North Valley Plaza, Rio Lindo & Cohasset area are encouraged to attend a special meeting with the Chico Police Department: Thursday, November 9th , 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Round Table Pizza Clubhouse – 2201 Pillsbury Road in Chico.
These meetings were created by Team Chico to improve communication and collaboration with the Chico Police Department in areas where public safety is a concern for businesses, residents, and community members, as well as traffic and infrastructure concerns. Future meetings will be announced.
All Safety Meetings are free, open to the public, and do not require RSVPs.
Chief of Police for the City of Chico, Mike O’Brien, states, “The Chico Police Department values partnerships with our community. These ‘Community Safety Meetings’ are an important way for citizens to connect with their police department, and the police department to connect with their community. This citizen interaction is critical in furthering the community policing model we have adopted, and we welcome these types of events for that reason.”
Team Chico is an economic development partnership between the City of Chico, Chico Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Chico Business Association, 3CORE, Alliance for Workforce Development, Inc, California State University Chico, and Butte-Glenn Community College District.
