Team Chico & Chico Police Departmet Host Special Meeting for Businesses in the Downtown Area
June 6, 2017 (CHICO, CA) Next Thursday, businesses, property owners and community members in the Downtown Chico business district are encouraged to attend a special meeting with the Chico Police Department: Wednesday, June 14th , 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Chico Children's Museum located at , 325 Main Street in Chico.
These meetings were created by Team Chico to improve communication and collaboration with the Chico Police Department in areas where public safety is a concern for businesses, residents, and community members. At this particular meeting, downtown businesses and property owners will learn more about the law enforcement initiatives recently released by the Chico Police Department for the downtown area and Bidwell Park.

- Rio Lindo / Cohasset: August 24, 2017 @ 11:00 a.m., Pacific Gas & Electric Company, 460 Rio Lindo Ave, Chico.
- Nord Corridor / South Campus: September 7, 2017 @ 12:00 p.m., Azad's Martial Arts Family Center, 313 Walnut Street, Chico.
- 20th Street / Chico Mall: October 10, 2017 @ 9:00 a.m., Chico Mall, Food Court - 1950 E. 20th St., Chico.
- North Valley Plaza: November 9, 2017 @ 11:00 a.m., Round Table Pizza Clubhouse, 2201 Pillsbury Road, Chico.
All Safety Meetings are free, open to the public, and do not require RSVPs.
Chief of Police for the City of Chico, Mike O’Brien, states, “The Chico Police Department values partnerships with our community. These ‘Community Safety Meetings’ are an important way for citizens to connect with their police department, and the police department to connect with their community. This citizen interaction is critical in furthering the community policing model we have adopted, and we welcome these types of events for that reason.”
