Chico Police Department Hosts Community Safety Meeting - Park Ave / Humboldt Rd

August 1, 2016 (CHICO, CA)  This Thursday, businesses, property owners and community members in the Park Ave / Humboldt Road business district are welcome and encouraged to attend a Community Safety Meeting with the Chico Police Department: Thursday, August 4th, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Chico Country Day School located at 1054 Broadway Street in Chico. 

These Safety Meetings were created by Team Chico to improve communication and collaboration with the Chico Police Department in areas where safety is a concern for businesses, residents, and community members.

Upcoming Community Safety Meetings:

Nord Corridor & Campus Perimeter: Friday, September 16, 2016, Noon - 1 p.m. at Azad's Martial Arts Family Center,313 Walnut St #150, Chico.
North Esplande & East Ave: October TBD
Hegan Lane, Otterson Drive, & Midway: November TBD
2016 meetings will continue to be announced. 

All Safety Meetings are free, open to the public, and do not require RSVPs.

Chief of Police for the City of Chico, Mike O’Brien, states, “The Chico Police Department values partnerships with our community.  These ‘Community Safety Meetings’ are an important way for citizens to connect with their police department, and the police department to connect with their community.  This citizen interaction is critical in furthering the community policing model we have adopted, and we welcome these types of events for that reason.”

Team Chico is an economic development partnership between the City of Chico, Chico Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Chico Business Association, 3CORE, and Alliance for Workforce Development, Inc.
