Chico Chamber of Commerce to Host an Expert Panel Q&A on Cannabis for Employers on August 22nd

June 7, 2018   CHICO, CA: Wednesday, August 22nd, the Chico Chamber of Commerce will host an Expert Panel Q&A for employers on cannabis, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., in the CARD Community Center located at 545 Vallombrosa Avenue in Chico.

Discussion topics will include: Proposition 64 myths and truths for employers, reasonable suspicion, safety-sensitive positions, DOT versus non-DOT requirements, and impairment testing, with moderated Q&A to follow.

The event resulted from the Chico Chamber’s Cannabis Subcommittee work, where findings indicated businesses are navigating workplace safety issues, workplace policies, impairment testing, and other questions related to the outcomes of Proposition 64. Recommended by a Chico-based insurance firm, Holden Law Group was selected by the Chico Chamber to provide this overview and expertise for local businesses.
