The sold-out event occurred on Thursday January 22, 2009 at the beautiful BMU on the Chico State Campus. And the winners are. . .
Jack Sterling, Owner, Madison Bear Garden 2008 J. Pat Lappin Award Recipient Jack Sterling took home the J. Pat Lappin Award, the most prestigious honor given by the Chamber. Jack and his wife Darien own Madison Bear Garden in Downtown Chico, and contribute significant time, energy and resources to a long list of community non-profit organizations.
Rick Coletti, Owner, Land's End Real Estate, Inc. 2008 Chairman's Award Recipient The Chairman’s Award was presented by outgoing Board Chairman Mark Sorensen to past Board member Rick Coletti. Rick played an integral leadership role at the Chamber for over 10 years, serving on various committees and culminating with a term as Chairman of the Board.
Bill Brouhard, Partner, Guillon Brouhard Commercial Real Estate, Inc. 2008 Business Advocate of the Year Award Recipient Less than 24-hours after becoming a new dad for the very first time, Bill Brouhard was honored as the Chamber’s Business Advocate of the Year. Cindi Alaan, Balken Construction and Sun Valley Solar Community Service Award Recipient The Community Service Award was presented to Cindy Alaan in honor of her outstanding leadership with the Coats For Kids Program, as well as her work with the annual Adopt-A-Family program.

At the luncheon, held at Manzanita Place, the Chamber presented four prestigious awards to the following women for their outstanding contributions to the community:
